About Role
A dual-focus leadership position combining hands-on management of daily restaurant operations with the strategic development of marketing initiatives to enhance brand presence and guest engagement.
Job Description
Operational Leadership
- This is core function of the role —Lead restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory, procurement, vendor management, and financial controls.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen leadership to support smooth service flow and logistics.
- To support decision-making, oversee financial reporting, including P&L summaries, expense tracking, and variance analysis.
- Manage revenue and cost forecasting, working in collaboration with the Head Chef to incorporate seasonality, pricing, staffing, and marketing performance insights.
- Ensure excellence in alcohol service with the ability to train FOH staff.
- Lead and motivate a multicultural team, fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture with clear expectations and effective communication.
- Manage team performance, resolve conflicts, and maintain a customer-focused service culture.
- Collaborate with the Founder and Head Chef during the soft opening to finalise layouts, workflows, and staffing structure, and to develop the prelaunch promotional strategy for the grand opening.
Strategic Marketing for Restaurant Brand Growth
- This is the second core responsibility of the role, requiring proven experience in planning and delivering marketing strategies that have generated measurable growth for a restaurant business.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives to ensure the brand remains consistent, visible, and positioned to strengthen the restaurant’s market presence and foster lasting customer relationships.
- Maintain strategic oversight of the restaurant’s market reputation in the online sphere.
- Proficiency in key tools such as WordPress, Meta Business Suite, and Canva (or similar design tools)
Candidate Profile
- Must have the right to work in Estonia or any EU country and be willing to relocate to Tallinn if currently based in another European location.
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in restaurant operations and restaurant marketing management — both skill sets are mandatory.
- Proven experience overseeing restaurant operations, preferably gained within Indian or broader South Asian dining environments, contributing to overall operational excellence.
- Proven track record of planning and executing integrated digital marketing strategies, preferably within Indian or broader South Asian restaurant settings, that have delivered measurable results in sales growth, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
- HACCP guidelines and food safety protocol knowledge is mandatory.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, digital marketing, or hospitality management is mandatory.
- Fluent English is required for professional communication; proficiency in Estonian is considered an advantage.
- Fire safety and basic first aid certifications are preferred; if not already obtained, they must be completed before commencing the role and will be arranged by the employer.
- Knowledge of South Asian cuisines and dishes to train waiting staff and explain menu items to customers; while training will be provided, prior knowledge is highly advantageous.
